Those of us who are parents know that time passes all too quickly. There are days however when time can’t pass soon enough; we can be thankful those days are limited to just a few.
Parenthood is truly a God-given opportunity and time to pass on values and standards that will ensure our world is a safe and predictable place for our children and our children’s children.
At Noah’s Ark Playschool we embrace the philosophy of “Learning through Play”, the value of which is immeasurable when it is used as a vehicle for learning. Lots of research based evidence links play with the social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development of young children.
Children need time to play. My job is to enhance and extend play to foster the steady growth and development of children. To feed that sense of wonder is such fun!
My husband and I, and our four children, and their families are often busy playing in the mountains, at the track, on the football field, cycling, and hiking.
I am passionate about providing children with a strong foundation. Teaching the love of learning is one of my goals for the children I come into contact with every day. One of my favorite quotations is:
Children’s play demonstrates interests, talents, and current level of knowledge. When play is taken and used as a pathway to learning, children are tuned in and learning begins. What a fun way to spend my day!
Over the years children from a variety of backgrounds have walked through our doors, all different, all special and all loved, unconditionally. They leave for the next level of learning as creative, curious thinkers who will impact our world in positive ways.
My husband and I live in Red Deer and our four boys now have families of their own for whom they provide a strong foundation. We are so blessed!
I am one of three teachers here at Noah’s Ark Playschool. I believe that all children are unique with different personalities, strengths and talents.
A quote I love is "Every child is a different flower, and all together make this world a beautiful garden". -author unknown
I feel so lucky to be a part of the team at Noah's Ark Playschool and to be able to spend my days watching these children learn, play and grow into the beautiful "flowers" they are!
