A trusted Christian playschool in the heart of Red Deer
At Noah’s Ark Playschool, we believe that every child is a cherished creation of God—unique, capable, and full of potential. Through faith, love, and play, we nurture each child’s growth in a welcoming, Christ-centered environment.
Our Mission: Rooted in Faith, Growing Through Play
We are a Christian playschool dedicated to helping children understand their priceless worth in God's eyes. Guided by Proverbs 22:6, we integrate faith into everyday learning—encouraging young hearts to grow in kindness, character, and curiosity. Our responsive, play-based approach gives each child the opportunity to explore their interests, discover their strengths, and develop lifelong learning dispositions like perseverance, caring, and creativity.

a little about our directors
Teacher Erin
With over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, including dedicated time spent supporting children with diverse needs, Erin's passion for children shines through in everything she does. She truly believes that every child is a unique and cherished creation of God. It's her joy to help them discover their incredible worth, ignite their natural curiosity, and grow strong roots of faith and character that will last a lifetime. When she's not at playschool, Erin loves spending quality time outdoors, camping, and connecting with her husband and their four wonderful boys.
Teacher Corina
Corina has been part of the Noah’s Ark family for many years and brings a wealth of experience and heart to the classroom. She sees each child as a one-of-a-kind gift, with their own personality, strengths, and sparkle. Her favourite quote sums it up perfectly: “Every child is a different flower, and all together make this world a beautiful garden.” She feels incredibly blessed to nurture these little ones as they learn and grow. Together with her husband, Corina has 3 children and loves traveling, and time spent with those she loves!
Meet Our Educational Assistants
Teacher Jennifer
Jennifer's journey with children began at the tender age of 12, and she's always known it was her true calling! After earning her Early Learning Certification from Mount Royal College, she dedicated a wonderful decade to nurturing young minds in preschools and childcare centers in Victoria, B.C. Life's path then led her to complete her Resident Care Attendant Diploma at Camosun College, where she spent 20 fulfilling years compassionately supporting elderly and developmentally challenged adults. Now, Jennifer is absolutely thrilled to be back in Red Deer with her husband, returning to her first love: nurturing and teaching young children in a Christ-centered, play-based environment. She can't wait to share her passion and experience with your little ones!
Teacher Hetty Ann
With many years of experience at Noah's Ark and a background as an Educational Assistant in the school system, Hetty Ann is a truly special part of our team. Her vast experience supporting children with diverse needs, including Signed English (SE) to assist in communication, makes her an exceptional asset in the classroom. Hetty Ann's deep love for children and her faith shine through in everything she does. Together with her husband, Hetty Ann has 3 grown children. She loves to spend time with family and friends at her cabin, and never passes by a good sale!
A SNAPSHOT OF OUR METHOD
-
Play is central to a child’s development—and at Noah’s Ark, it’s also the heart of our curriculum. We draw inspiration from Alberta’s Flight Framework and Reggio Emilia, creating a dynamic environment where children can observe, discover, reason, and problem-solve. Our teachers listen and respond to children’s interests; which drives the planning of engaging, hands-on experiences that promote unique and meaningful learning.
-
Each child is unique, with their own needs, perspectives, and gifts. We embrace inclusion through our partnership with RDPSD, providing adaptations and support for children with exceptional needs. Whether it’s modifying routines, materials, or expectations, we foster independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging for all.
Additional supports including Occupational, Physical, and Speech and Language Therapy, etc. are available with qualification.
-
Children at Noah’s Ark aren’t just students—they’re co-learners and collaborators. Their voices, questions, and ideas help shape the learning environment. With input from families and ongoing staff reflection, we create a space where children feel seen, heard, and empowered to wonder and explore.
-
As children grow, mature, and develop at their natural pace, we support them to demonste age-appropriate skills and apply what they’ve learned. This nurturing progression equips them with the confidence and self-esteem to transition smoothly into future learning environments—with a strong foundation in both knowledge and faith.
