A trusted Christian playschool in the heart of Red Deer

At Noah’s Ark Playschool, we believe that every child is a cherished creation of God—unique, capable, and full of potential. Through faith, love, and play, we nurture each child’s growth in a welcoming, Christ-centered environment.

Our Mission: Rooted in Faith, Growing Through Play

We are a Christian playschool dedicated to helping children understand their priceless worth in God's eyes. Guided by Proverbs 22:6, we integrate faith into everyday learning—encouraging young hearts to grow in kindness, character, and curiosity. Our responsive, play-based approach gives each child the opportunity to explore their interests, discover their strengths, and develop lifelong learning dispositions like perseverance, caring, and creativity.

Why Parents Choose Noah’s Ark

At Noah’s Ark, we understand that choosing the right playschool is a big decision. Families choose us not just for what we teach, but for how we care. Here’s what sets us apart…

Faith-Filled Foundation

We integrate Christian values into everyday learning, helping children grow in kindness, empathy, and a sense of belonging.

Play-Based + Purposeful Learning

Rooted in Alberta’s FLIGHT Framework and inspired by Reggio Emilia, our approach supports creativity, curiosity, and developmentally appropriate exploration.

Each Child Matters

Each child is known, loved, and embraced for their own God-given uniqueness. Our low student-teacher ratio allows us to nurture individual growth and foster meaningful relationships- with patience, joy and respect.

Here’s what parents have to say:

  • We are so thankful to have discovered this Playschool! I never worry about my little guy when he is there and trust the Teachers fully. He has needed some extra attention with some separation anxiety and the Teachers have gone over and above to help him overcome his troubles. He has come a long way in the half year he’s been a part of the school. We are so pleased with his progress and can’t wait for him to return next year.

  • We had the best experience at Noah's Ark Playschool! My son had a hard time at drop offs initially and the teachers were so amazing at making him feel comfortable and helping him through those difficult moments. It was really cool to see the growth he had through the year. Great program, I would 100% recommend!

    -Lauren V, Noah’s Ark Parent

    -Al K, Noah’s Ark Parent

  • Noah's Ark is a very special place! I'm so thankful my girls have both been able to attend (as recently as this year). The teachers make learning so engaging in such an age-appropriate way. Caterpillars/butterflies, hatching chicks, parrot visit, planting seeds, pottery- there have so many incredible experiences brought to the classroom this year pointing to our awesome God! Thank you for being absolutely exceptional teachers!

    -Yvonne P, Noah’s Ark Parent

  • I cannot express how much we loved this preschool! It started many years ago with my oldest nephew who is now 19, and continued through 6 more until this past year with my youngest! We are so sad to be done with Noah’s Ark and would highly highly recommend this playschool to anyone and everyone. The teachers are so incredibly caring and kind. They do so many amazing things to prepare our children for the next step in their education journey. They do all of this while the children are in a safe and fun environment! Thank you guys we will miss you all !

    -Tammy B, Noah’s Ark Parent

  • We were so impressed with the teachers at Noah's Ark Playschool. They genuinely cared about our son and spent quality time with each child. They took the time to know each individual and remembered details about them that made them feel special and loved. They were knowledgeable about different temperaments and learning styles. There was a broad spectrum of activities that created a progressive curriculum throughout the school year. Thank you Noah's Ark!

    -Morgan B, Noah’s Ark Parent

  • Our son THRIVED at this school. The teachers are incredible and it's evident that they truly care not just about teaching the kids, but care about them as individuals too. We can't say enough good things about this program and the staff.

Meet Our Educational Assistants

Teacher Jennifer

Jennifer's journey with children began at the tender age of 12, and she's always known it was her true calling! Life's path then led her to complete her Resident Care Attendant Diploma at Camosun College, where she spent 20 fulfilling years compassionately supporting elderly and developmentally challenged adults. Now, Jennifer is absolutely thrilled to be back in Red Deer with her husband, returning to her first love: nurturing and teaching young children in a Christ-centered, play-based environment. She can't wait to share her passion and experience with your little ones!

A SNAPSHOT OF OUR METHOD

  • Play is central to a child’s development—and at Noah’s Ark, it’s also the heart of our curriculum. We draw inspiration from Alberta’s Flight Framework and Reggio Emilia, creating a dynamic environment where children can observe, discover, reason, and problem-solve. Our teachers listen and respond to children’s interests; which drives the planning of engaging, hands-on experiences that promote unique and meaningful learning.

  • Each child is unique, with their own needs, perspectives, and gifts. We embrace inclusion through our partnership with RDPSD, providing adaptations and support for children with exceptional needs. Whether it’s modifying routines, materials, or expectations, we foster independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging for all.

Additional supports including Occupational, Physical, and Speech and Language Therapy, etc. are available with qualification.

  • Children at Noah’s Ark aren’t just students—they’re co-learners and collaborators. Their voices, questions, and ideas help shape the learning environment. With input from families and ongoing staff reflection, we create a space where children feel seen, heard, and empowered to wonder and explore.

  • As children grow, mature, and develop at their natural pace, we support them to demonste age-appropriate skills and apply what they’ve learned. This nurturing progression equips them with the confidence and self-esteem to transition smoothly into future learning environments—with a strong foundation in both knowledge and faith.
